Over the years, technology has been aiding individuals as well as enterprises bridge the gap between perception and reality. While corporate finance solutions are gradually making their presence felt across the industry, there is still a significant number of companies which rely on conventional methods to address their financial issues. An Australian company, AbakusApps, has introduced an app-based platform which caters specifically to property investors, accountants, mortgage brokers, and financial planners, and addresses the issue of inadequacy of finance products in the marketplace. “Our app-based software solution combines personal tax management and property investment financial tax management into a single platform. Abakus is the only app in Australia that will provide the user with a real-time tax refund or payment estimation,” says Brenton Tidow, Founder and Managing Director of Abakus.

With a quick, thorough, and secure back end design, Abakus's app ensures a seamless experience for everyday property investors, delivering the information to the accountants in a technically appropriate manner. Abakus's offerings go well beyond just a simple financial tool. The company extends a software package that combines receipt management, tax receipt and deduction classifications, property portfolio evaluation, and real-time tax estimations for users at their fingertips. The company leverages the cloud technology to deliver their complete package, anytime, anywhere. Moreover, the company is looking to incorporate several other technologies to deliver their solutions to the clients.

Abakus is the only app in Australia that will provide the user with a real-time tax estimation, considering one’s personal and property deductions

The team steering Abakus includes accountants and financial planners, as well as investors who have endured the same struggles as property investors and felt there should be a better way. Started off as a kitchen-table idea, Abakus has grown to become a successful financial solution owing to the meticulous work of the Abakus team.

Tidow founded Abakus after identifying that every property investor needed a program that would keep track of all their transactions and tax needs. With a background in farming, the construction industry and surveying, Tidow started off by creating worksheets with intricate algorithms to perform the required actions. Once the method proved its reliance, Tidow put together a team that constructed this app-based platform—Abakus.

As a financial technology solution provider, Abakus has encountered several challenges in the marketplace with regard to information security, and the evolution of technological preferences of their clients. However, the company ensures that their app runs seamlessly on all upgraded devices. Additionally, Abakus considers the security of clients' information as one of the company's primary value. With an unwavering commitment to its values, Abakus assures the security of information of the company, as well as their clients. Recognizing clients to be the fuel for running its business, Abakus is focused on finding and providing solutions to all the customer pain points.

To stay ahead in the market and deliver products that are ground breaking and ahead of their time, team Abakus has put together new and exciting features/tools and improvements that will be released shortly. These new features are designed with a view to revolutionize the way information pertaining to property tax is accessed and managed. “These features will free the user to enjoy the simpler things in life.” Elaborating on Abakus's future plans, Tidow concludes, “Today, 18 months after launch, we have grown nicely and have two large companies investing in Abakus. We will continue to bring ground breaking and intuitive ideas to Australian property investor community.
